The basic structure of the Commission is specified in Chapter III of Royal Decree 2668/1998, dated 11 December, which approves the Statute of the Autonomous Body of the Tobacco Market Commission

• Governing and advisory bodies:
  1. Governing bodies:
     1. President of the Autonomous Body, which constitutes the highest governing body
     2. Vice-President of the Autonomous Body
  2. Advisory body: Advisory Committee of the Tobacco Market Commission
  
  
• Subordinate units of the Office of the Vice-Chairman with responsibility for economic-financial and regulatory duties and for the provision and management of services. Current areas are as follows:
  • Market Control and Regulation Area
  • Market Inspection Area
  • Retail Network Maintenance Area
  • Economic-Financial, Budgetary, Personnel and General Services Area
  • Audit Office
