The Tobacco Market Commission has implemented an Online Processing System which allows users to complete various different procedures relating to the tobacco market online.

Online procedures require users to accredit their identity by using a digital certificate issued by the Royal Spanish Mint (FNMT). This certificate serves to accredit your identity and enables you to complete various formalities and procedures with Public Administrations online (income tax return, etc.). If you do not have a digital certificate, you must obtain one before you can use the Commission's Online Processing System. To obtain a certificate, complete the following steps:

1. Download the root certificate from the Royal Spanish Mint (FNMT), if you do not already have it installed on your Internet browser.
2. Request a certificate via the internet.
3. Accredit your identity at an official registry office. To do so, you must personally attend the chosen office (this only needs to be done the first time you request a certificate).
4. Download your user certificate.
